About this guide

Brazil Real Estate Consulting is an editorial project for people who own — or are about to own — a property in Brazil while living somewhere else. Most of them are Brazilians who moved abroad; others are foreigners who inherited, bought or married into a Brazilian property.

The guides are written by Daniel Ferreira, owner of Daniel Ferreira Imóveis in Brasília. He has worked in the Brasília real estate market since 2007, with more than 2,000 negotiations — sales, swaps with cash adjustments, sales financed directly by the seller, assignments of rights and all kinds of rentals — and a strong presence in Jardim Botânico and across the Federal District.

Daniel holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a postgraduate degree in Real Estate and Condominium Law, and is pursuing further postgraduate studies in Civil Law and in Economics and Finance. He is not a lawyer or an accountant: the guides explain how things usually work and point out when you need one.
